# Plans and Pricing

> Compare Starter and Pro and change a Righthand's plan

Righthand has two current plans. Both include the same product capabilities; they differ in usage capacity.

| Plan        |       Price | Included capacity | Best for                                    |
| ----------- | ----------: | ----------------: | ------------------------------------------- |
| **Starter** |  \$99/month |                1x | Day-to-day work                             |
| **Pro**     | \$199/month |                4x | Heavy daily workloads and multiple projects |

New Righthands start on Starter. If a Righthand needs temporary additional capacity, you can buy a **\$39 Usage Boost** for an additional 1x capacity through the rest of the current billing cycle.

## Change a Righthand's plan

  <Step title="Open the Righthand">

  </Step>

  <Step title="Open Plan">
    Select **Manage**, then **Plan**.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Choose Starter or Pro">
    Open the plan menu and select the new plan. The change applies immediately and is prorated for the current billing cycle.
  </Step>
</Steps>

If Righthand cannot update the subscription, the platform directs you to update the team's payment method.

## Legacy plans

Some existing Righthands may still show a retired Part-Time, Full-Time, or Over-Time plan. Those plans are grandfathered and are not available for new subscriptions. The plan menu offers Starter and Pro; after moving a legacy subscription to a current plan, the retired plan cannot be selected again.

<Tip>
  Check [usage](/guides/usage-limits) before changing plans. A Usage Boost may be a better fit for a temporary spike, while Pro is designed for sustained higher usage.
