Each Righthand can have a Slack bot so people in your workspace can send direct messages and mention the Righthand.

Connect Slack

1

Open the Righthand

Go to Righthands and select the Righthand you want to add to Slack.
2

Open Slack settings

Select Manage, then Slack.
3

Start the integration

When the status is Inactive, select Integrate.
4

Authorize the correct workspace

Complete the Slack authorization flow. Confirm the workspace name and requested access before approving. A Slack administrator may need to approve the installation.
5

Verify the bot

Return to Righthand and confirm that the Slack status is Active. The pane shows the bot user and activation date.
6

Test a message

In Slack, send the Righthand a direct message or mention the Righthand in a channel where the bot is present. Confirm the response and corresponding Activity entry.

Communications policy

The Slack bot’s installation and the Righthand’s outbound Slack permission are separate controls. To restrict outward Slack messages, open Manage → Communications Policy and set the Slack channel to Allow, Ask, or Never.

Deactivate Slack

Open Manage → Slack, select Deactivate, and confirm. Deactivation stops the bot from responding to direct messages and mentions. You can integrate it again later.
If Slack authorization succeeds but the bot does not respond, confirm that the bot is present in the conversation and that the Righthand is active. Then contact support@humans.righthand.ai.
